Yarn Along

Happy Wednesday and Happy Yarn Along Day! Linking up with Ginny from Small Things :)

Unfortunately, this picture is a few days old, but it's all I have of this project so far. This is the Halstead Shawl, and while it looks like a scandalous bikini in this photo, it's actually a good bit along in real life. What I'm loving about this project though is this yarn. It's specialty yarn from a yarn store just outside Chicago called Mia Bella, and I swoon every time I look at the blush colored bits. It's so gorgeous. It was also incredibly expensive, so it was probably a one-time splurge, but I'd love to work with it again.

  1. That will make a lovely shawl, Kerry. And that you've working with a yarn you've fallen in love with just makes the process of crocheting that much better.

  6. So beautiful! I love that yarn too - it is so hard to find yarn that doesn't have 'hard' dots but rather soft blushed spots like this one. Can't wait so see it finished!
